Are you planning a career in Construction? Are you aware of the risks you may be exposed to in the construction industry? 

This course specifies the mandatory work health and safety training required prior to undertaking construction work. It covers identifying and reporting common construction hazards, understanding basic risk control measures, and identifying procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies. It also covers correctly selecting and fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work.

Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for: 
CPCCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry. 

The Statement of Attainment will be issued by Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909. www.allenstraining.com.au
Plus: 
A SafeWork NSW Statement of Training (SOT) will be issued to each participant on the day if training is successfully completed. This is valid for 60 days. 
SafeWork NSW will issue a General Construction Induction Card (White Card) usually within 30 days.

Course Information:
  • Students must be 14 years and over
  • All students must provide 100 points of Identification. This Identification must be present on the day of training to be able to complete the SafeWork NSW Mandated Evidence of Identity EOI Form.
  • ID documents must include photo Identification, date of birth, signature and current address, ID documents must be originals only.
  • Enclosed shoes must be worn 

Assessment of this unit consists of three mandated SafeWork NSW assessment tasks: 

  • Answering a series of multiple choice and short answer written questions
  • Answering a series of short answer oral questions 
  • Observation of learners demonstrating the correct 
  • fitting of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). 
  • There are no provisions for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) within the context of this approved training course.
  • A Unique Student Identifier (USI) Number is required prior to enrolments being processed. To obtain a USI number, please go to www.usi.gov.au to register.
