The Statement of Attainment will be issued by Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909. -

Course Information:
  • Students must be 16 years and over
  • All students must provide 100 points of Identification. 
  • Enclosed shoes must be worn
  • Students must wear protective clothing including long pants and long sleeve shirt
  • Due to the practical component of this training students must have sufficient physical ability to participate.
  • A Unique Student Identifier (USI) Number is required prior to enrolments being processed. To obtain a USI number, please go to to register.
  • Assessment will take place on more than one occasion over the duration of the course with an opportunity to learn and practice skills and knowledge between each assessment. Assessment tasks may include written assessment, oral questioning, workplace observation & demonstration of techniques in the workplace or simulated workplace

  • It is important to note that there are physical standards which relate to the level of performance required when undertaking accredited training. There can be no exceptions to these Australian Government requirements that are clearly written into the Training Package. Therefore, students who are unable to satisfy the physical requirements of the course cannot be deemed competent or issued with a statement of attainment, even if the qualification is a necessary part of their employment conditions.
  • The Training Package for this unit requires a student to be physically able to wear PPE, enter and work in confined spaces.


18 questions detailing the knowledge from the Training Package such as: Identifying areas that constitute confined spaces; Complying with site and equipment safety requirements; Complying with the entry and exit procedures, risks and regulations; Types of air contaminants and toxic gases; Identifying the limitations of breathing apparatus; Identifying equipment types, characteristics, technical capabilities and limitations; Complying with site isolation and site control responsibilities and authorities; Locations of safety data sheets (SDS) information and application; Using confined space and Industry terminology
The simulated assessment environments will reflect the real-life working environment where these skills and knowledge would be performed, with all the relevant equipment and resources of that working environment.  Skills must be demonstrated by the student working individually in an environment that provides realistic in-depth, industry-validated scenarios and simulations to assess students’ skills and knowledge.
It’s important that students have knowledge of the content of this course. The assessable practical skills are listed below.
You will be assessed on performing confined space scenario and task demonstrations for: Side entry into confined space; Top entry into confined space; Ground level entry into confined space; Complete a risk assessment (hirac) – job hazard analysis – safe work method statement; Complete an entry permit
